Know Your Rights Under The FCRA:

As a consumer, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) provides you with specific rights concerning your credit report. Level Up Firm LLC encourages you to be aware of these rights:

Right to Access and Correct Errors: You have the right to request information about you in the files of a consumer reporting agency (CRA). You're entitled to dispute any inaccurate information, and the CRA must investigate unless your dispute is deemed frivolous.

Right to Accuracy by Creditors and CRAs: Creditors and CRAs are obligated to report accurate information about you.

Right to Request Credit Score: For a fee, you can request your credit score from a CRA. However, if you've been denied credit, insurance, or employment due to your score, you may be entitled to get a score free of charge.

Right to Know Who Has Accessed Your Information: You can request details about who has received your credit report within the past year (two years for employment-related requests).

Right to Opt-Out: You can direct the CRAs not to share your information with creditors or insurers for marketing purposes.

Right in Case of Negative Information: If a company denies your application due to information in your credit report, they must provide you with the CRA's contact information that supplied the report.

Right to Seek Damages: If the FCRA is violated, you may have the right to sue the violator in state or federal court.

This is a summarized overview, and the FCRA provides additional protections. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these rights.
